OPS2

The CRTs have three Modes GPC, SM and PL - every program has different displays for each mode. The two Main modes in SSM2007 are GPC, used for on orbit manuvering and system settings and SM used for Mission Payload OPS.

CRT2 Contol switches

All four CRTs allow the crew the same functions. the three forward CRTs are controlled from the C2 Panel while the Rear CRT is controlled from the R11 Panel.

Burn information box

Burn Countdown timer - Under the MET on the top right corner of the screen is the Countdown timer for the burn (activated by ITEM 23).
ΔVTOT - The Delta (difference) between current and required Orbital velocity in Feet\Sec.
TGO - Time Remaining in the burn.
VGO - Displays difference between the current orbit and the target orbit on each of the plane.
Orbit Information - Shows Apogee and perigee heights (HA and HP) for current and target orbits in NM.

OMS burn Mode

allows the crew to set which type of burn will be performed.

ITEM 1 - Select Both OMS engines for a burn
ITEM 2 - Select Left OMS engine only for a burn
ITEM 3 - Select Right OMS engine only for a burn
ITEM 4 - Select RCS thrusters for a burn (do not fire OMS engines)

Burn Trim

for “dialing” in the required Trim for the upcoming burn - once modified Load must be performed for the new Data to be accepted.

BURN ATT
